Projetos Serra do Salitre

  • A future built by many hands

In 2014, some locals, supported by the LGI, began the creation of a Future Agenda for the town, something to contribute to the regional development in a more participatory and sustainable fashion. The entire process had three steps, open to the population, and involved over 206 people, among children, youngsters and adults, who could present their opinions and wishes for the town..

The first step listed people’s dreams for their community and the initiatives that were already in place in Serra do Salitre. In the second stage, key topics and subtopics for Serra do Salitre were prioritized, and the necessary approaches to address them were identified. The third step involved the creation of work groups for each topic and the development of action plans.

In order to expand the reach of the information and encourage mass compliance, we created infographics with the key outcomes of the process and routes for those who wanted to engage in it. Click here to see the infographics. Click here to see the infographics..

It feels great to look at the agenda after so much work, hard work, collective work, since many people got together in pursuit of a goal. I believe it is the time for me to be more useful and hands-on, working for the achievement of all the propositions.
